MNP (Meyers Norris Penny)

MNP is one of the leading accounting, tax and business consulting firms in Canada. Through partner led engagements, the firm tailors their comprehensive suite of services to meet the growing needs of public, private and not-for-profit sector clients.

At MNP, I began to reinvent my career. I started out as part of a very small digital marketing team – we only had three members servicing the needs of the entire firm at the time. Part of my responsibilities during the first few months was to assess the current state of our SEM, track our analytics, build online marketing templates and create the MNP digital brand standards.

I also educated internal employees on the value of digital content and developed synergies between IT, HR and our creative team.

Six months in, I became the Marketing Automation Specialist, and I was tasked with implementing Eloqua, our chosen platform. After becoming an Eloqua Master (a training certification supplied by the company) I was involved with redeveloping the email and landing page templates, setting up lead scoring, segregating contact lists, and creating sign up and unsubscribe portals to ensure CASL compliance.

Two years later, I became involved with the reconstruction of the MNP website properties. At the time, MNP had a series of microsites for many of its service lines and niches. With the redevelopment, we brought them all under one roof in an effort to greatly increase our SEO value and make it easier for people to find the firm online.

Planning the new site offered many new challenges – in order to do it right, our team engaged both employees, clients and leads in UX (User experience) exercises, implemented responsive design, improved upon our databases and integrated everything into our chosen CMS (Content Management System).

Out ambitions grew from our explorations and tactics learned from MNP.ca. Later on, I redesigned our intranet site using similar methods learned from MNP.ca, MNPdebt.ca was also revamped to increase client conversion rates and become mobile friendly.

As video grew in popularity at the firm, so did the demand for it. I became responsible for video implementation strategies, guidelines and production. Beginning at the end of 2014, I interviewed and enlisted many videographers from around Canada to film our videos – although I took on most of the projects myself.

MNP gave me the chance to redefine myself many times over, and the chance to acquire a whole host of new skillsets.

Below are a few sample projects created for MNP.
